Keep Pets Safe
The Cheyenne Animal Shelter would like to remind pet owners to take special care of pets during Cheyenne Frontier Days™. Cheyenne isnt the quiet community were used to during this time of year. There are more people and cars in town and a lot of activities are going on such as concerts and parades. Take extra precautions to ensure your pets safety. Things that are normally okay may not be safe. If you normally let your pets out without leashes, they could get lost or injured, make sure they are wearing tags and are microchipped. Keep your pets at home, the noise and activity may be too much for pets to handle. Do not leave them in the car, it is too hot for them. If you lose your pet during CFD™, look for them right away, visit the shelter, put up posters and call the local veterinarian offices. For more information, call the Cheyenne Animal Shelter at 632-6655. |
